Why was MMXIX started: Current situation.
Days To Remember was one of the guilds that existed when MMXIX was first formed. It no longer exists as the guild leader has moved on.
I was trying for a long time to try to provide for players who wanted to form a dungeon group quickly, and since I only like to do a dungeon if it is organized a day in advance, I didn't like being pressured into doing a dungeon- just because somebody who wants to, has just logged in. I would have preferred to recruit 20 dungeon focused members, than stop my plans to join a dungeon group myself.
I won't need to provide for dungeon focused players anymore, as solo random dungeons are being released with the Percival patch.
I did not find that the alliance chat was used by every guild that joined MMXIX, as it seems some did not know how to customize their chatbox to allow Guild/Alliance/Whisper at the same time. Pfalky was using the alliance chat every day, but has recently left and joined the Russian guild Zorka. Zorka once joined MMXIX when they had around 224 members, and they left the next day as it appears the alliance controllers must have clicked accept by accident. After that, they created the [PING0] tag. So Zorka cannot join MMXIX again. We have lost Pfalky & Siribris.
What were MMXIX's strengths: Current situation.
Yes, I am 'willing to give my all to make a project work', but it is clear to me that MMXIX is not working. I am not running from the challenge - where the challenge is defined as providing dungeon party finding functionality to Albion players; but it is now unnecessary. If members of my guild want to dungeon, they can do so alone now. Or they can form a group with their friends of course, as usual and do a group dungeon like before. It's just not my responsibility to provide that anymore. I tried my best, it didn't work, I'm letting it go. The issue isn't harrassment, criticism or doubt, it's just general player inactivity.
I have learned that 50% of my friends list were players who had not logged into Albion for 1 month to 2 weeks. I have removed the inactive players because the seem to have quit the game. This isn't even players who were in my guild or alliance, I'm talking about players I had added to friends list in game. That means this is a problem that happens all over Albion. Players quit and go inactive. With 80 members in Kudasai we saw a maximum of 18 members logged in at any 1 time. With 60 members we see around 7 members logged in at a time. With the amount of lag that I experienced yesterday, rubberbanding similar to what SBI recently compensated us for, 7000+ ping where my usual average is 120-240 maximum; I am anticipating more players will quit. Even I started considering a different game, when having to log back in 20 times in 1 hour.
So for the reasons stated above, at 6PM UTC, MMXIX Alliance will be disbanded in game.
You are all free to find a more suitable alliance.
What was MMXIX's plan for the future: Current situation.
The new alliance I will form will not have a dividing line between Kudasai's goals and the alliance's goals, it will merely be an extension of the guild for other like-minded guilds, best suited for casual players who are not expecting to participate in GvG or ZvZ type of activity. That is an uphill struggle which isn't made any easier with players quitting at such a high rate.
I'm also not going to be trying to build an international alliance, it will be english speaking. That is an important foundation to be able to make sure every guild in it know how to edit their chatbox. I would also consider putting an alt in each guild that joins the alliance (1 alt, not a new character per guild) to assist them with recruitment when I have time for it in the future. But since it is a relaxed alliance that isn't expecting to become crystal ranked, there is no rush to add guilds to it.
I want to let the guilds that have joined MMXIX go free. I don't want to hold any players back from content that they find most inspiring.
